Okada Masaki and Aoi Yu use horseplay to promote ‘Raiou’
On August 31st, actor Okada Masaki (21) and actress Aoi Yu (25) appeared at an event in Tokyo to promote their movie, Raiou. While there, the two rode on the horses they used during the film, and Okada described a time that Yu fell off, “She made a very beautiful arc as she was falling down, and I couldn’t keep myself from laughing while watching her. I’m the worst!” Aoi shared that she had been injured many times during the filming of the movie, “I hurt my back when I fell off the horse, and I had to get crutches when I injured my foot in one of the fighting scenes.”

Raiou is based on a best-selling novel authored by Ueza Mari, and the story is inspired by Shakepeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Okada will play Narimichi, who is born from a shogunate family, while Aoi will play Rai, a girl living deep in the mountains after being kidnapped at a young age. The pair initially sparked their love for one another under a tree called “Raiou”.

The film was directed by Hiroki Ryuichi, and it will open in Japanese theaters on October 22nd.

The trailer and pictures from the event come under the cut.
