French Kiss holds a handshake event for “Kakko Warui I Love You!”
Today, AKB48 sub-unit French Kiss held a handshake event to celebrate the release of their new single “Kakko Warui I Love You!” at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba-shi, Chiba.

The members - Kashiwagi Yuki, Takajo Aki, and Kuramochi Asuka – were all excited for the event, but the former might start to consider that she should stay at home for the coming events. The reason is the fact that it was raining again on the release day of their new single.

Kashiwagi commented, “My first gravure photoshoot for AKB, release-day events of French Kiss, and other important days in my life… it’s always raining.” She is already being called an “ame onna” (rain woman) thanks to her unfortunate charm, and her fellow members also already teased her for making it rain again today.

Furthermore, the group went to the stores of TSUTAYA and Tower Records inside Shibuya 109 in Shibuya, Tokyo. There, the girls signed the display of the stores and then wandered through Shibuya itself, gazing at their huge billboard at Shibuya 109. In relation to their song’s title, Kashiwagi also talked about her most recent “kakko warui” (uncool, unstylish) moment, “When I’m wearing old-fashioned clothes, the other members tell me I’m kakko warui. I’m not that interested in fashion in the first place…”.
