AKB48 held the handshake event for their 17th single, “Heavy Rotation“, at Tokyo Race Course on October 11th, and 21,000 fans showed up at the event. It’s been four months since they last held a handshake event in Tokyo, and a total of 36 members appeared, including members from SKE48 and SDN48.

At the press conference, Oshima Yuko talked about the PV for ‘Heavy Rotation’, “In the PV, I’m kissing Maeda Atsuko. I am often asked if we (Yuko and Atsuko) are in a bad relationship, but the kissing is proof! We members always kiss each other.” Shinoda Mariko also confessed that Yuko was kissing Kojima Haruna in the dressing room. Yuko clarified that it was just a wake-up kiss because Haruna looked sleepy, so get your minds out of the gutter!
