When Japan was rocked by the Great Tohoku Earthquake on March 11th, the Japanese Red Cross jumped right in to kick-start relief efforts. To continue bringing in support for their efforts, the organization reached out to Japan’s top idols, AKB48.
Members Watanabe Mayu, Oshima Yuko, Minami Takahashi, and Maeda Atsuko were featured in the Red Cross’ new CM, which highlighted some of the things the Red Cross did for the disaster victims. AKB48 also contributed Team K’s new song, “Boku ni Dekiru Koto“, which is said to be included in the group’s new album, “Koko ni Ita Koto“.
