Utada Hikaru’s second best album, “Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL.2“, which was released on November 24th, sold 231,000 copies in the first week, and toped the Oricon weekly chart for the week of December 6th. All 7 albums (5 original albums and 2 single collections) has consecutively topped the Oricon weekly chart, setting a new best record (Utada was tied with KinKi Kids for toping the Oricon weekly album chart 6 times in a row).


Because of the hit of the second single collection, “Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL.1“, which was released in March 2004, has now climbed up the charts into 43rd place.
