Bon Jovi’s Japanese popularity brings them to Tokyo

Established American rock band, Bon Jovi, will be releasing their “Greatest Hits” best album this November in Japan and have decided that this is a perfect time to bring their tour to the country. The album itself will feature many of their best known songs, plus four new ones. Lead singer Jon Bon Jovi said, “these songs have withstood the test of time, but we will still look toward the future and never forget our roots.”

Bon Jovi is already a million seller in Japan. Back in 2001 the band actually released a Japan only best album titled “Tokyo Road” that sold tremendously well. The band debuted back in 1984, but despite having hit their 26th anniversary, they are going strong, especially in Japan. This ‘monster band’ has had their three most recent albums all hit number one on the Oricon weekly rankings in Japan, a feat many Japanese singers cannot claim to have achieved.

Currently they are scheduled to stop by Japan on their world tour on November 30th and December 1st, to do a two day show at the Tokyo Dome stadium. Considering their recent popularity in Japan, there is no doubt the performances will be very successful.
