An extended look at Horikita Maki’s “back nude” scene from “Byakuyako”

Japanese movie news site eiga.com has released a small clip of the upcoming movie, “Byakuyako” (“Into the White Night”), which features lead actress Horikita Maki in three completely different scenes.

The movie is based on a best-selling novel by Higashino Keigo, which already had a drama adaptation aired back in 2006. ’Yukiho’ (Horikita) is a very beautiful woman who does not hesitate to trick others into great misfortune, starting with an unsolved case of murder that happened during her childhood.

The first two scenes in the clip are of Horikita as a school girl and as a grown-up woman, both of which are uninteresting compared to the third scene, which is a slightly-extended version of her infamous “back nude” scene (as hinted in an earlier trailer).

For this scene, Yukiho seen is taking off her white nightgown, offering the audience a great look at her beautiful pure white back. Afterwards, she gets on the bed and forcefully presses down on ‘Shinozuka Mika’ (Koike Ayame), the daughter of her second husband. The short clip ends with some pseudo-caressing by Yukiho.

In the novel, that scene could easily be described as a rape, so it will be interesting to see how far they will be going for the moments between taking off her nightgown and the caress. The generous exposure of the back alone is already getting interpreted as a big challenge, and a huge change for the “pure” actress Horikita. We’ve reported earlier about the possibility of additional controversial scenes that would be included in the movie, but we’ll see if they make it to the final cut.

Check out the clip below. The aforementioned scene starts around 0:53!

AAA reflects on their year, plans to debut overseas next year
Pop group AAA have reached new heights this year, and they’re not looking to stop anytime soon.

The group achieved their second #1 single just this past spring with “Aitai Riyuu/Dream After Dream (Yume Kara Sameta Yume)“, which was entirely produced by legendary ’90s pop producer Tetsuya Komuro. While this second accomplishment thrust them into the spotlight once more, it was also a major achievement for Komuro as well, as it marked his first major success since his personal business scandal a while back. “Aitai Riyuu/Dream After Dream” became his 43rd #1 single.

AAA also embarked on a nationwide tour, becoming the biggest group to go national with a tour spanning 25 stages.

When reflecting over their careers so far, the group had many things to say. “We sang and danced a lot in the early years at Avex. That was meant to be meaningful, but it was tough. We are now able to continue like this because of those experiences,” said Sueyoshi.

Hidaka also expressed his grateful feelings towards their producer and president of Avex, Max Matsuura, who has been with them since the very beginning. “We often have moments where we feel really blessed. He’s provided us with many things, including music by Komuro. Our relationship [with him] is always growing“.

The group was also asked about the army of K-pop artists taking over the charts recently.

“I’m always learning a lot,” said Sueyoshi. “I always have the thought ‘I’ll never lose’“.

With their openminded attitude, the group has reinvented their image and tried out various styles, appealing to a wide range of fans.

AAA has been steadily working hard over the past years, with 2010 being their 5th anniversary since their debut. They’ve released 5 studio albums, 4 mini-albums, and 26 singles so far; they’ve got no signs of slowing down, and in fact, have bigger things brewing in the background.

Next year, the group has set their sights on a debut overseas. There are no further details as of yet, but their intentions have been made clear.

Chiaki reflected on her own overseas experience: “When I went to Taiwan on a business trip 3 years ago, I received a letter from a fan written in Japanese which said “AAA should do a live [here]“. Since then, we’ve had the feeling to a live in Taiwan and/or Asia“.

Leader Urata also reflected on his own thoughts. “We are a collection of personalities, and we have a lot to express. That’s why we have bigger things to aim for“.

The group is currently getting ready for their first appearance on the famed “Kouhaku uta Gassen” on New Year’s Eve.

Trial begins for Onitsuka Chihiro’s assault case

Singer Onitsuka Chihiro was attacked by her boyfriend, Komiya Yusuke, in their shared apartment back in September, and the trial for the assault case finally began on December 16th at a Tokyo district courthouse. The details delivered by the prosecutor’s opening statement are nothing short of shocking.

Onitsuka and the defendant started dating in the beginning of August, and he soon moved into her apartment. On August 18th, Komiya returned home after staying out all-night drinking. Onitsuka was sleeping, but he forced her awake and then struck her across the face. The prosecutor explained that Onitsuka returned the blow, causing Komiya to become furious with her. He reacted in an increasingly violent manner, as he deliberately poked her in the eyes with his fingers, kicked her in the side, and also flung her facedown on the floor.

Onitsuka was left with some broken ribs, a left orbital floor fracture, as well as other injuries which took about a month to heal.

The defendant explained that he only slapped her once, and that her injuries could have been from when she fell down. Komiya has 5 criminal records.

The prosecutor read Onitsuka’s testimony that because of the assault, she can no longer trust men, and is even scared to go near them.
